Hello, I am a climbing trainer in German Alpine Club in Hamburg.
Originally I’m from Kazakhstan, nevertheless I started to climb in flat Hamburg ten years ago. In my free time last 3 years I have been working on development of climbing area Demir Kapija in Macedonia. With the help of a russian climber Alex Klenov and of german climbers we have bolted over 100 sport climbing routes and 20 multi pitches. But limestone walls there have huge potential. So we are still looking for people who can help us to bolt the area. If some experienced climbers from your club want become routesetter on natural rock, they are very welcome!
Alex will give classes this spring and autumn how to bolt routes and be safe. One course will take 5 days and costs 250 euro. Climbers who came for bolting or bolting classes can stay for free in our climbing lodge. We have all material for bolting (drill, ropes,bolts etc), you need only a harness and a gri-gri.
Alex Klenov is a former trainer of russian climbing team and was twice nominated for Piolet d’Or.
